Introducing Kinetic Solutions WA: Preloved Disability Equipment in Perth

At Kinetic Kids WA, we believe in the power of community. Every day, we see families supporting each other, sharing ideas, and lifting each other up. Today, we’re thrilled to take that spirit one step further with the launch of Kinetic Solutions WA, a free online platform designed to help WA families share preloved disability equipment in a safe, generous, and community-minded way.

What is Kinetic Solutions? (Preloved Disability Equipment)

Kinetic Solutions is a simple, free-to-use platform where families across Western Australia can give and receive children’s items they no longer need. Think of it as a digital noticeboard full of play equipment, prams, toys, feeding chairs, and more — all available for free.

There’s no buying, no selling, and no swapping. Just people helping people. Whether your child has outgrown their wheelchair or you're looking for a walker, Kinetic Solutions WA is here to connect you with others in your local community.

Why We Created It

At Kinetic Kids WA, we see firsthand how much love, care, and energy families pour into supporting their children, especially when their needs are complex or constantly changing. But we also know that accessing the right equipment at the right time isn’t always easy.

Whether it’s due to funding delays, or the way children’s needs can shift quickly as they grow, many families find themselves without the tools that could make daily life safer, easier, or more enjoyable.

For families navigating disability or developmental challenges, the need for specific equipment can shift quickly. What worked six months ago might no longer suit your child today, but that very item could be just right for another family.

Kinetic Solutions was created to help bridge this gap.

Kinetic Solutions exists to make that giving easier, safer, and more community-focused.

It’s also a great way to care for our planet by reducing waste and keeping good-quality items in circulation for longer.

How It Works

1. Want to Share Something?

If you have a piece of equipment your family no longer needs, we’d love to help you pass it on.

Just fill in our Pass It On – List Your Item Here form. You’ll be asked for:

• A few quick details about the item

• Photos (no faces or personal info, please!)

• Your contact info so other families can get in touch to arrange pick-up

2. Looking for Something?

If you’re hoping to find a specific piece of equipment, fill out our Seeking Solutions – Request Equipment Here form.

This helps us match your request to incoming donations, and we’ll be in touch if something suitable comes in.

3. See Something That Might Work?

Browse available items through our listings page or keep an eye on our social media updates.

If something looks like a good fit, contact us to organise collection and exchange. 

A Few Friendly Reminders

Keep It Safe

This is a peer-to-peer community platform. That means:

• Kinetic Kids WA doesn’t inspect or approve equipment

• All exchanges are made at your own risk

• Families are responsible for checking items for safety, recalls, and condition before use

• Any item received from Kinetic Solutions must not be sold by the recipient. Items must be re-gifted through Kinetic Solutions when they are no longer required. 

• If you’re unsure whether something is right for your child, we recommend speaking to your OT or Physio

Need help or don’t have a therapist? Reach out — we can point you in the right direction.

Items We Don’t Accept

To keep everyone safe, please don’t list or request:

• Car seats or booster seats

• Baby capsules

• Baby walkers

• Helmets

• Mattresses or sleep-related items

• Any item that’s been recalled or banned in Australia
